I did 2 more tonight, these are cool to do, much faster at this size. I think i am improving lol.

i scanned his plunket book and printed it on matching paper, i will do this every few pages as it has lots of information .

Ok here's page 2 , the photos are clearer when looking at them directly (not scanned) but as you can tell they are not the best photos ever taken lol but they are all i have of my baby's

Doing 6 x 12 layouts

Here's my first ever 6 x 12 layout, i have decided to do all the boys baby photos this size as they look better, the photos back then seem to always be at a distance and small so on a 12 x 12 they get lost, i put a black peace of card behind it when i scan ed it in. Any tips from you girls that have done these sort of photos would be great.
I will post more as i go, might be useful for others with this problem.

Spring clean in December

I have cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom, walls, cupboards, fridge etc, today we got a carpet cleaner and did the floors, i have aches in some strange places lol even my bum hurts. So i got
hubby on the the carpet cleaner, tomorrow its the furniture's turn. Isn't it strange? we get time of to rest and we end up working our butts of on all the jobs that have been neglected at home,
and we haven't even started out side yet.
I am of to do some scrap booking at the studio tomorrow afternoon, I NEED A REST lol

End of the year

Well finally on holiday waaahooo , we had a lovely lunch yesterday at work and received hampers
full of goodies, don't you love Christmas, you can eat and sleep lol .Went to the last Friday crop of the year last night what a laugh, we had a Christmas game were we worked as teams and had to do things in pairs , Kelly and i were the first 2 up in our team, we had to make a card, her using only her right hand and me using only my left, we were going great until we tried to tie a bow lol the next 2 had to wrap a parcel using right and left hands , with the last 2 one had to be a tree and the other person had to get all the decorations in there box attached to the (person) tree.I think every one had a great night.
I find that everything fits in my box when i leave home ,but when i pack it up to go the lid wont go back on, i finally realised why last night!!! i add to it lol.

I was lucky enought to be this months guest designer for the Scrap Box , i received

a box of gorgeous goodies to create with above is one of my layouts.

WANTED

Well here's the finished product, i keeped it simple and slightly altered the photo. Love the thickers lettering it went so well with this layout, used basic grey Christmas papers.

On Wednesday night hubby and i went to a wild west night, me as a lady of the night and him as

a high roller gambler lol, what a blast it was every one looked great. They got some of us up

and had us line dancing (not easy in high healed boots i tell ya) they also had a mechanical bull

which was great entertainment, I'm looking forward to scraping these.

NZ Dare # 36

Here's my entry ( a Fraze that gets used and passed on) in our family is I'M NOT AMUSED!!
I can remember my mum saying this to me and i used it heaps when the boys were teenagers,
I have been trying to scrap all my old photos i, i have a few really good shoots of my son running
around naked, they are actually some of the better ones, when he saw me scraping some he said" DON'T put that on the Internet" I'm not amused . Note the censored tag lol

all the wonder full ribbon's that are available and keep buying them but never seem to use

I have an online friend, we play games together, chat, send each other cards and little gifts and have lots of laughs, we have been doing this for around 5 years now, shes from the Netherlands.
We first meet on a family gaming site called Pogo, she had joined to help her learn English, some times she got her words wrong and people would get inpatient, we had a lot of laughs and started meeting to play often and from here our friendship grew. At the moment her and hubby are on holiday in thailand, she sent me an e-mail asking for my phone number ( she had wonted to call before but i was to shy) can you believe it ME shy lol. Well tonight she called and we chatted like old friends, it was great to hear each others voices for the first time and we seamed to understand each other ok lol. It has just made my day, isn't it amazing that you can form such wonderful friendship with some that has never meet you.

This is my take on dare 35, the photos we took when our kids were small seam to be small and usually at a distance. I love these photos of my son as they show his facial expressions.He really was so irresistable as a baby .

Well this is the very first Lay Out i did, i remember spending hours humming and haring lol as first layouts go i guess its not to bad , it looks better here than in real life as you can see the white edges around all the cut outs (i didn't know about inking then) This was a pack i brought at spot light the frames were already cut.

Well iv been out all day today, it was my birthday yesterday!! yes older but wiser lol
The girls at work had got together and gave me a lovely card and 3 bages of lolies as i have a very bad habit of geting lolies at work, i call them stress relif pills. For dinner i had
a very yummy omlet with bacon and mushrooms, then bigest pancake you ever did see,it was follded over with a hug lump of ice cream and a big bloob of cream, the center was filled with slithers of some sort of soft nut and fresh strawberrys with a yummy sauce it was devine,
but very bad for the waist lol.
Today i went cloths shoping then down to portwaikato beach and spent the day with family and friends, we had a HUGE amount of food, loads of salads, whitebait fritters,musscles,prawns,BBQ
meats,fresh palter of fruiet and nuts,mum made a lovely cake for me and my sister did the food.
So this weekend i think i have eaten in 2 days what i would normally eat in a week! I will post
a pic later

Beautiful Sonia

I submitted this layout to up2scrap magazine, the call was for a layout about a scrapbooking friend, I was thrilled when it was accepted.
I meet Sonia on the message board in trade me, she was so bubbly and full of life so you can imagine my surprise when i found out she was going through chemo for cancer.This LO is deducted to her as she was the person who inspired me to scrapbook. Ok heres what i did with the photo i altered for NZ Dares

Felt

Now here's an awesome tip, i saw this on another scrapbooking site and wondered why i hadn't

thought of it my self.

Use you adheased felt flowers and boarders as stamps, cut pieces of and stick to your stamping block, gives a great effects and is a very cheap quick way to do something different with out

spending loads on stamps. I will have to look at other things i could use, I'm sure theres other

things.

Altering photos

I have had so much fun playing with photos i thought i would share some with you.
The top photo of my son i altered then added it to a back ground and faded the edges so
it would blend in with the moon, i call this on "MAN IN THE MOON" lol
The bottom one i added a rainbow and a pattered fade around the edges.
You can add any back ground you like

This is the original photo

I did this on white card, i used an altered photo, chipboard stars and swirl,a journaling stamp and felt flowers. I went with plain card because the photo is so busy and didn't wont to detract from that.

i wonted this
to look old and washed out, these are the girls at
work, we wore our whitches hats all day for halloween,I used basic grey paper, chip board scroll cloured with black chalk ink, then glued
wee star sequins to it, but they dont show to
well here, the cat is cut from black card stock
and i used 2 diamenties for eyes,the letters
are also basic grey with sequins doted around it,
bottom left courner is a stamp.

I had my first go at being the monthly

designer for scrapbook studio , this was

a challange for me as these are not papers

i have used before! it didnt come out to

bad lol.

These were my 3 layouts i sent in to the scrapbook studio/scrapbooking by design,

I had never submitted to a design team call

so was a little unsure of what to do, but i

had a go anyway, theres just so much talent

out there! I missed out this time which was

disappointing I might have another go some

time, but for now i think i will concentrate

on getting some of my heritage album done.

NZ Dares

The theam was "out my window"

I was chosen to do design a layout

for the next one, its a lot of fun and

makes you think outside the square.

Well, i have been a very slack bloger lol,
I have been so absorbed in my scrapbooking
i just haven't got around to updating my blog.
Some news: I was lucky enough to have this
layout published in Up2scrap magazine,I
had just finished this when someone told me
about submiting to the magazine, so thought i would
send it in,You can imagine my excitment when i
was told it would be published,its like being told
you have just passed your exams, i couldnt stop
smiling lol.

I have found a way to turn

photos into sketches, my next

project just has to have this in,

its so cool and so many

things you could do with this.

this simple, used 2 papers, rubons,and hand cut the arrows, the lettering is basic grey

I did this LO at a crop night at scrapbook studio, it is Daisy D papers and stickers, i added the rubons and stiching.

I really injoyed the night and meeting new people.

I did this page for Anzac day , i stayed with the black and white theme but used cream and different shades of black to grey, the poppy is from poppy day.

Up date

Just an update this time i have several pages half finished at the moment.
I have been trying out a few new techniques, they are looking ok so far lol.
Lisa from scrapbook studio has been awesome, when i go to the shop she
takes the time to explains how things work and gives me a few ideas to
try out, I am looking forward to meeting some of the other girls from scraping
by design up there for a crop session one day soon :)

Frog

Frogs are my other addiction,as you can
see these little guys are my pets, I have
had them from when they had just
changed from tadpoles,iv had lots of
fun running about out side with a small
net catching flies for them.
