Curcle journal

This is my first attempt at doing a circle journal,above is a little peek at a piece of my book,The theme i am doing is nursery rhymes.I have been working on things but haven't been able to show them as it would spoil the fun for others .Our first post of date is the 3rd of August,i am looking forward to contributing to every ones journal and especially when i finally get mine back

News for July

First up I wont to thank Sonia for all her help and inspiration,we have been working together on the scrapbook studios design team for the last 6 months and just wont to say what a pleasure its been.Sonia has been on the D.T for some time and is finishing her term this month.If you would like to leave a message for her you can do it by clicking Here I hope we get to work together again,its been a blast.

If you wont to have a go at being August monthly designer just pop your name on the list HERE
If your name is drawn out you will receive a box on goodies to play with and post in the Art Room, you'll be expected to post at least one layout by mid August and the other by end August. We may even ask you to do a couple of cards. If you think you can meet these commitments post your name. We will draw this early next week.

Lisa will be posting info very soon about Scrapbook Studios next DT Call!One lucky person will also receive a Cricut Expression to play with .
It will be brand new still in the box! Comes with the two cartridges in the box ACCENT ESSENTIALS & PLANTIN SCHOOLBOOK FONT. Also there is a special offer at the moment where it comes with a free LYRICAL LETTERS, so the lucky person will have 3 cartridges to play with straight away, then be sent a different one each month so we can rotate them. They will get to borrow the machine and cartridges for 6 months.This DT Call will be separate for somebody who feels they could use this machine in a really creative way to show off the ability of the machine, rather than just the basics.Will be posting this info next week, keep watch!! P.S The person will also need to have a computer running compatible software for the Design Studio, which they will also be given to borrow. (Windows XP) ... so keep an eye out over the next week or two.

We are also nearly ready to start another ATC swap,so keep ya eye out,it will be posted HERE very soon,these are so much fun,if you haven't tried doing them before come and have a go,you
can get a lot of great ideas and learn new techniques.

week # 5 we have a winner

Yes we have a winner,we had such an amazing group of girls doing this challenge which made it so very hard to judge,Our over all winner was Sue,above is her altered bird house,isn't it the cutest lol i love the detail in this especially those little music notes

For the card challenge Sue created this gorgeous card,this has to be my favourite,i love the softness and the way she has used the window.A big thank you to every one that entered.The quality of work that went into every weeks challenge was awesome.

SENZ miss crafty tart 2009

They had a competition at the Crafty Tart stand,you had to make a doll out of your scrap stash.This was my second attempt as the first Tart was a little unstable poor girl and jumped of the table and fell apart...sad sad ...Miss Tart number 2 held it all together for the show hehe.

Haven't heard who won the prize yet,but there were some crafty dolls there.Sadly Miss tart managed to over spend so she has moved in with Kate from crafty tart and will be washing dishes until old age lol

WWC Sbs week 4

For week 4 the challenge was distressing,using paint,inks or glimmer mist,woowee this was a tough one to Judge.Ngaere took the top points with this awesome layout and sue was close behind.

Week five is Altered/of the page stuff with a wee twist,every one gets to vote for 1 layout excluding there own.

SENZ 2009

My first time to senz was a lot of fun,i did a couple of make and takes,above is one i did at the rubbadubbadoo stand,so easy and it looks so cool.

Well i was browsing the stamps i found this little cutie,i so love the whole idea of it,you could use it for any age or gender,see there examples below

It was great seeing so many people there i knew and i got to meet Ngaere to,that was great.

Looking forward to playing with the stamps i got...oh yes i got some of the mice to lol

winter sucks

I am so over winter believe me,We live in an old house that we rent for now anyway,its cold in the winter,drafty and dreary,it doesn't catch the sun and after weeks of working in a freezing cold factory and coming home to a miserably cold house i am sooooooooooo over winter,even my scrappbooking is suffering as all i wont to do is curl up in bed as soon as i can.I was looking forward to going to SENZ on Friday as i have never been before and its close to home this time,but i have a wonderful winter power bill to pay,its Large! so even senz has had the edge taken of it,whats the point of going to something like that unless you can shop boohoo Bring on summer PLEASE

Week #3 of WWC at scrapbook studio

I have been so busy at work and home that i have got a little behind with things but hope to be up todate by the end of the weekend

innovation Mag

Following the great response we had to the colour features in issue 2, and a super suggestion from Trina we thought it would be great to run a small colour competition. It will work like this; Create a layout using colours that you normally wouldn’t combined and upload them to our forum gallery. Check it out Here

Michael Jackson Memorial

I watched the service for Michael Jackson tonight,I have danced and taped my feet to his music all my life,He has to be the best entertainer ever no matter what people think of his private life,and that's how i will remember him,i have lots of good memory's when i hear his music.Thanks
