Altered book page 1 & 2

Ok here's my first 2 pages the top one is the second page, i had a little trouble ,the paper got a wave through it but its still ok, the first page is nice and smooth, I'm not sure if it was the sealer i used that caused this to happen. would love your feed back and ideas on how to stop the paper from getting that wave thing happening.

Altered Book

The Altered Book i am working on is looking ok so far, I am having lots of fun trying out a few new things,its my older sisters birthday on the 5 Aug so i decided to theme it towards her. I had intended to do an album for her, but still haven't got all the photos together for it , so I'm hoping it turns out presentable. I will try and load a picture of it tomorrow and would love your feed back as i don't wont to give her a dud lol.
Over all its been a pretty chaotic day, out to collect hubby from the airport first thing this morning,
back home, helped son get sorted with his passport and finding cheep air fairs then back to work,
it was a strange day really.

Altered Books

Its 4am Saturday morning and I'm awake thinking about altered books ?? whats with that .

I have been researching these as i am really keen to have a go at this,so if you have done any i would love to here from you, or if you know where i can get good information on the "how tos".

Sadly i had to bow out of Idol as i couldn't get my second challenge done :( but i will follow

along and have a go at some anyway.

The bossy scraper

This is a fun challenge over at scrapbooking by design http://www.scrapbookingbydesign.co.nz/forum/index.php?topic=923.0

It starts at 8pm on Sunday night and finishes at 9 . I really enjoyed this, you have instructions thrown at you, no time to think about it or humm and harr over it, you just grab what ever is handy and go for it. This is my layout, i missed the start time but managed to get it done.

The scan isnt that good because my rope was a little chunky.

WOOHOO nz dares 50th dare happy birthday to you guys. Here's my take on a winter theme,
I may do another if i get time, mine never look as good as some because i am using very old photos and you just don't get that nice sharp definition,but these photos are pieces of my life and i love them :)

Challenge# 7 my style

Well Nealy finished my layout for this last challenge,its weired trying to scrap my style after
doing all those layouts ,Just have to do a little glueing and send it off.
I haven't even started my Idol challenge #2 yet, i wont to do a better job this time as my 1st
effort wasn't that great, Its so hard trying to scrap when your in pain all the time although
it defiantly is better than it was, but gets worse when i am scrapping, it may be because i am
siting with my head down. Antwayzzzzz it was a load of fun doing the SYTYCS challenge that's
why i thought i would have a go at embellished Idol challenge. Have a cozy night all tata for now.

cheap stamps

After work today i wondered down to our local spot light store, its a yuk day and i love wondering about in there, anyway they have these cool stamps, there are 3 different ones,

Its a new range out buy Fiskars, i think they are great and only cost about $11 for a set if

you have a spot light card, but even if you don't have a card they are cheap. Off to make

a yummy winter lamb stew. catch you soon

Embelished Idol 2008

Thanks for your lovely comments, Well i went to a osteopath today and the pain is defiantly less intense so I'm hoping i am on the mend at last, i managed to finish my Louise layout but it took me ages as i just did a little then had to leave it.
The first challenge is up for embellished idol competition, It read " lets start with an easy one"
Yikes if this is a easy one i wont last long till I'm knocked out lol I have till Friday afternoon to
have it loaded then they vote, But if i get knocked out they are running supports comps so i can still play, and they have prizes for these to so if you haven't had a look pop over to there site.
If nothing Else i might learn some new tricks and ideas.

Compititions

I am siting here wondering how i am going to get mt layouts done in time ,I started getting pains in my right arm and shoulder last Monday and have been to the doctors twice as it got worse,I have tried doing some scrap booking but ended up in tears because of the pain. Its so frustrating i
haven't done any chores or shopping, just typing is hard work. I just hope it eases soon.
This weeks challenge for SYTYCS is Louise style,and its the first week of Idol so here's hoping
it gos soon.

Challenge # 5 lisa

Here is my Lisa challenge layout , Background paper Basic grey, 3birds 1 is chipboard and 1 chipboard butterfly, painted chipboard letters and scroll, i cut the 2 fantails out of fabric, colours lime and teal,used a circle behind the birds,and my newest item is the tape runner with the pattern on under my photo. This is my second layout for dare 48 using stamped background and stamped calender,

I really enjoyed using my stamps, sometimes i just need a push lol. I used fancy pants stamp

to make a square then outlined it with green tombo pen.Thanks for stopping by.
