Heres a couple of shots from Friday, it was sad saying good by to one of our team we have

created a great working environment,its just not going to be the same with one of us gone but

Karen has a great job to go to which makes it easier to say good by.

We had a BBQ and drinks after work ,from there i went to a get together dinner with a group of us girls that worked together for years at hallys,we do this once a year and its always great to see them and catch up.So i was pretty shattered by the time i got home lol,Im not used to so much action in 1 day

ATC Swap...Cats

These are the cards from our last ATC swap, What i love the most about doing these is how different they all are,we all start with the same theme but create totally different looks.There is a list up for the next swap if youd like to join in HERE The theme this time is the "sea".

Its been a really weired week for me, on the work front we spent this week waiting to find out who the six people were that were going to be made redundant! it was really stressful not knowing and every one was on edge and worried,we found out on Friday and thankfully i am not one of the six, I also got a call from my sister,she was made redundant last week. My son is returning home as the flatting thing went bust, and my mum hasn't been coping to well with the heat and I'm a little worried about her so I'm of to see her tomorrow.

I wont to get the February sketch done, i love the look of it but cant find a photo that suits it! so i have a great big messy pile of photos and nothing to show for it lol . Check out the sketch HERE and be in the draw for a shopping voucher at SBS.

The every day stuff [Music]

I decided to stay with the 12x12 size as i already have some that size and also the smaller size limits what you can add.I have scraped my favourite song at the moment "I'm yours" il probably get sick of it before long lol. I found a great site and have started up a play list for my self so now when im scraping all my favourite songs play and NO adds or talking,just pure music. February DT kit SBBD

Aren't these Three Bugs papers just super cute,i so love the frog,This photo is about 24 years old

lol,I enlarged it and brightened it up,the old cameras didn't take great photos im afraid.I used 2 x ribbert papers,cut the center out of one and popped it up to give it dimension,i distressed the edges and used Tim Holt's distress inks (Tea dye & Pealing Paint) to dirty up the clean colours,

I used Dimensional Magic on the bugs and the frogs eyes,i punched the flowers out of some of the left over paper then used liquid Applique around the edges,the leaves i stamped using my favourite montaga stamp i recently got from Scrap book studio ,I have used this stamp heaps lol

Altered spoon

Sorry about the bottom pic it didnt come out to great.Well here is my very first attempt at using alcohol inks and for that matter doing a altered spoon lol. I spent ages adding the small beads around the picture,i did them 1 by 1 with a pair of tweezers.I had loads of fun with this and wont to do another one now.

Oh So Cute

I just had to shear this E-Mail with you,my niece sent this to me.

"It has been so hot in South Australia for over a week...40+ degrees Celsius everyday, very dry also. A guy at work lives at Maude. His wife sent him these photos of a little Koala which just walked into the back porch looking for a bit of heat relief. She filled up a bucket and this is what happened!"

My thoughts are with all those people who have been affected by the awfull fires in Victoria.

Quick Note

Hi,isn't it a gorgeous weekend ,i have finished my spoon today after a trip to spot light,I also did 2 layoust and some cards,i even submitted a couple! My spoon!! well i tryed really hard to make a good job of it,I'm not happy with how the ink looks on the front (i think i had a bad spoon)
it was darker on 1 side than the other so live and learn there lol, to counteract that i have added lots of pretty things. Once we have done our swap i will post a picture here.

Basic Grey

I am a huge fan of Basic Grey stuff,I did this layout last night and just love the colours,Its defiantly a challenge to do male layouts that look pretty . TFL

Oh and i am working on a altered spoon!!! yep i said spoon lol, this is a Major for me as iv never

used alcohol inks ,but i am so excited about doing it i just cant wait to start,it must be the challenge ;P Thanks so much for visiting I love reading your replies and checking out your blogs.
